Christmas weekend Turley & family.

by Turley Richards — Categories: Turley SpeaksComments Off

Wow! What a great weekend of love and joy. We had music, singing guitar
playing and kissing my grand-daughter Zoey over & over again. Plus being
with my son Adam & daughter Amber and lot’s of great friends.

I hope to be posting my promise to everyone the site that will have at
least 20 songs of mine from all of my albums & singles that I recorded over
the years of my long career. The best part. You will have 30 days to
down-load them for free and my hopes you will share them with all of your
friends. They can burn copies from yours. I want everyone to be able to
hear what all I did that help me sell over 1.4 million records and CDs
combined.

We’re still looking for that ghost writer to work on punching up my life
story that my agent in New York feels she can get published. Then, who
knows what might happen from there. I can still sing pretty damn good and I
have tons of experience in performing in concert and I want to share it with
all.

I’m hoping to get out to as many towns and cities as possible. So remember,
if you would like for me to come to where you are, let’s see if we can make
something happen.

OK! Enough of the Turley rambling. Have a wonderful happy new year and
let’s bring the Turley Richards music to all of you.

Thank you so very much.

Blessings to all.

Merry Christmas to all. songs lyrics & music.

by Turley Richards — Categories: Turley SpeaksComments Off

Let the music make you dance, let the lyrics make you smile and let the
spirit of the Christmas joy fill your hearts with tons of love.

This is my first Christmas with my grand-daughter Zoey because, it’s her
first and my excitement can’t be measured. I never thought I could love
another like I do my kids Adam and Amber but, now my heart is being opened
so wide to accept zoey to my insides heart, soul and mind. I may not be
able to see her but, just like with Adam and Amber I see them with all of my
love for them.

I haven’t heard from the South Charleston people about me performing there
the weekend of April 2nd. I hope we can pull it off. Also, I would like to
extend to anyone reading this blog and invitation to see if you can get me
booked in your town so, I can bring my music and songs and put on a show for
all of your friends etc.

All I need is a decent size sound system and I’ll bring the rest with me and
off we go to some serious performing from the Turleyman.

So, once again. merry Christmas and give your love to all of your loved
ones.

To my south charleston area facebook friends.

by Turley Richards — Categories: Turley SpeaksComments Off

I chatted tonight with sharon Wiles & her son Paul about me being able to do
a concert in South Charleston on Saturday April 2nd 2011 . I’ll be
performing in New Martinsville W V on Sunday April 3rd and I thought it
would be a great idea to be able to entertain as many from here on facebook
and hopefully a lot of the people that I knew back in the day before I left
for New York to have a fairly successful recording career. In chatting with
Sharon, I realized that there’s a chance that not many really new about my
success. So, I want you to go to my website and check it out but, I’m going
to put a few things here in this blog.

To start off with, I was very lucky to record for 8 major record labels such
as: ABC/Dot, MGM/Verve, Twentieth Century Fox, CBS/Columbia, Warner
Brothers, CBS/Epic & Atlantic records. I had 3 of my records make it in to
the top Billboard charts. Every single that any of my labels released, were
hit picks by the major music mags. I sold a total of 1.4 million records
and performed on such major TV shows as; The Johnny carson Tonight Show,
Merv Griffin Show, Mike Douglas Show, David Frost show & dick clark’s
American bandstand show.

I shared the stage with some major stars and there are so many to name, it
would be easier for you to see it at my site (www.turleyrichards.com). But,
to name a few: Moody Blues, Ritchie Havens, Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac,
Steve Miller, Ray Charles, Pointer Sisters, Jethro Toll, black Sabbeth, Cat
Stevens etc . Note. I’ve never seen these names spelled so, please forgive
me, if the names aren’t correct.

Anyway. I would love to be able to come back home and sing for everyone in
a concert atmosphere. I was there in 2003 but, it was outside and not
conducive for the kind of show I want to do with all of you. I want to
tell some stories of my life and even have some Q&A which can be so much
fun.

So, I’m reaching out to all of you to go to bob Anderson or the mayor to try
to make this happen. Sharon had mentioned the old Lebell theatre and that
really brought back some great memories.

Merry Christmas to everyone and let’s make this happen.

Richard Turley comes home. Sounds funny to me. Hahaha

coming soon. free downloads.

by Turley Richards — Categories: Turley Speaks2 Comments

Hi everyone,

This is the day I’ve been hoping for so long and now I can chat with all and
not be restrained with how many words I can use.

**********

Starting in the beginning of the new year, I will be posting 19 songs from 5
decades of my recordings and you will be able to go there and listen and if
you like any or all of them, you can download it for free. This will run
for 30 consecutive days and then stop.

My goal is to introduce my singing to a lot of people that are not familiare
with who I am and my fairly successful recording career.

I’m hoping that a lot of you will dig me and share my music with others,
especially the younger crowd. You will hear me sing a lot of styles
because, the record labels had no idea what to do with me.

I could sing almost anything and I would do what I was told. That’s the way
it used to be. Don’t do what they say, look for another label.

I actually recorded for a whole bunch of record labels.

Here’s the list:

1. Fraternity Records.

2. ABC/Dot Records.

3. MGM/Verve records.

4. Twentieth Century Fox Records.

5. CBS/Columbia Records.

6. Kapp Records.

7. Warner Brothers Records.

8 CBS/epic Records.

9. Atlantic Records.

Also, a few Indy releases on my own.

I had 3 songs that made the Billboard charts. They will be among these
songs and identified as such.

OK! There you have it and I can’t wait for your reaction to my career.
Read my condensed life story at my website.
